CRC-Sikkim Conducts ISL Orientation at CM’s Model School, Pakyong
Pakyong, Sikkim — CRC-Sikkim organised a day-long ‘Workshop-cum-Orientation on Indian Sign Language’ at Chief Minister’s Model School, Assam Lingzey, Pakyong.
Around 125 students of Classes 6 and 7, along with teachers, participated in the workshop. The participants enthusiastically learned basic salutations, greetings, facial expressions, and sign language fundamentals.
The programme provided rich practical exposure for trainees of the Diploma in Sign Language Interpreter (DISLI) course, CRC-Sikkim.
Ms. Kamala Dahal, Academic Head of the school, coordinated with the resource persons and trainees. The event was organised in close coordination with Col. Ujjwal Khatiwada, Director, Chief Minister’s Model School, and Dr. Pushpanjali Gupta, Director, CRC Sikkim.
