National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan), Kolkata Observes “Swachhta Pakhwada”

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan), Kolkata observed “Swachhta Pakhwada” from 16th to 31st July, 2025. Swachhta Pakhwada was started on 16th July, 2025 by the employees and officers of the institute by taking a pledge of cleanliness.

During Swachhta Pakhwada, various cleanliness programmes were organized to keep the institute clean and green environment. An awareness play on cleanliness by students, poster-slogan competition, special cleanliness drive in the campus, a workshop on cleanliness and health was also organized in collaboration with Baranagar Municipality.

The students of the institute staged an inspiring awareness play that highlighted the importance of cleanliness and health. Through their energetic performance, they conveyed the message of keeping the environment around them clean and motivated people to take responsibility for a healthy environment. With the aim of making the institute campus clean, a special cleanliness drive was organized in the campus on 30th July, 2025, in which Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD and the staff of the Institute actively participated in this programme.
